Ishmael

Ah, New Jersey. We’ve been here for 5 days, and it’s been kinda crazy. Crazy in the “we’ve been going almost nonstop all week” kind of way. First, we flew into Philly and went to the house we were going to be staying at. It was about 45 minutes away. We headed over and dropped our bags at my cousin’s house, then we loaded up and went to my aunt’s place to see my great grandmother.

We visited for a while and then ordered some pizza for dinner. I got to show them my pictures of the family, and some of my creative work. After that, of was all kinda a blur. Somewhere in the mix was a trip to go see my other great grandmother who’s in a nursing home. And there was a trip to go see a Christmas light display. We’d been planning to go to NYC, but everyone got sick. So we mostly just hung out with various relatives. My great grandmother was with us every day. That was really amazing. I haven’t seen her in years. We also had a dinner party ad I got to see another of my cousins and his fiancée. They’re pretty cute together.

Now it’s time to head out for a weekend in Raleigh with my grandparents. Then back home to Nashville. We’ll have been gone for a total 7 days. That’s a dang long time. But here we go… off to the airport. Wish me luck.

Have you ever heard of Cornerstone? Well, it’s this huge music festival. It’s like a week long, and from what my friends tell me, it’s amazing. And it’s looking like I’m going to be there with a bunch of my friends next year! I seriously cannot wait. It’s looking like it’s going to be a really awesome summer

The only thing about it is that college is going to be starting after the summer is over. And, while I’m excited about that, I’m really and seriously tired of school. *sigh*

grr… speaking of school… I should be working on that now…

So, my mom finally came around. She now has a blog! It’s actually kinda exciting because I’ve been trying to get her to do it for a while. But now she’ll be blogging about all kinds of crazy stuff we do. Like rubber band wars and yogurt making. she’s over at http://winksmusings.blogspot.com. Yeah, she’s on blogger… She thinks that wordpress is for geeks. I guess she’s kinda right.

And my brother recently started a blog too. He’s like insanely good with legos, and I told him that he should start a blog about what he does. We’re still working on a name and everything, but it’s looking like I’m going to be helping him put together a podcast, a blog and some videos. I’m pretty excited about that, too. It looks like it’ll be a fun project. We’ll keep you posted on how it turns out.

But yeah, my family is blogging. Now I just need to convince my dad…
