Indian Chicken

without comments

This is one of my favorite recipes. It takes a while to make, but it’s fairly easy. The hardest part is waiting for it to cook while the smell of curry is everywhere. The original recipe came from a cookbook called More with Less, but my mom and I have tweaked it a bit through trial and error. The version here is good feeding lots of people.

I’ve made this chicken for a church potluck, and I got several people asking me for the recipe, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to publish it. Now I just need to come up with my own special curry blend to make sure I keep my advantage.

Soundtrack

without comments

Over the past few weeks, it’s like the music that plays around me is always just what I need to hear, or at least applies to what’s going on. Sometimes it’s convicting and sometimes it’s freaky. Sometimes it just makes me laugh and think “wow, that was so appropriate” or “those are my thoughts exactly.”

It’s always in random places. A cellphone ringtone, the theme for a tv show, something on the radio that they haven’t played in ages, some song that I forgot I had in iTunes or my on iPod coming up on shuffle, last.fm playing a song I’ve never heard before. Random places. It’s spooky sometimes. Like someone is playing a soundtrack to my life. Sometimes it’s amazing. Maybe God is telling me something.

Maybe He’s playing a soundtrack for my life.

Here are some of the songs that seem to be a part of my soundtrack: Read the rest of this entry »

Firefox Was Eating My Cookies

with 2 comments

Ok, so a while ago, I did a post called Firefox is Eating my Cookies. It was about how my cookies weren’t working in firefox. Well, after about a month of banging my head against my desk trying figure it out, I figured it out. The problem? AVG free. AVG is an amazing little antivirus, but it got a little over zelous with blocking “tracking cookies.” Apparently, it thought the cookies.sqlite file was a tracking cookie and was blocking websites from seeing it. Everything went back to normal as soon as I told it otherwise

Score one point for maddeningly elusive, yet incredibly simple solutions.

Spring Break

without comments

Well, I had my short little spring break over the weekend. My family and I drove out to North Carolina to visit the grandparents. It was a really good trip – despite the face that we all got sick.

The best part by far was when we went out to wrightsville beach. It was too cold to swim, and my mom and brother were sick, but I still managed to snap some pictures.  So it was good. But the next day, my dad got sick. Then as soon as we got home, it was my turn to get it… Oh well. It was a good trip.

Some of my pictures are up on my flickr
